Quantity Surveyor - Water, Utilities & Power

Are you a commercially-minded Quantity Surveyor looking to make an impact in the vital Water, Utilities & Power sectors? Or perhaps you're an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready for your next challenge with a supportive, leading consultancy?

Based in our Maidstone office, our client is a prestigious consultancy seeking a driven individual to join their dedicated Water, Utilities & Power team. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, providing crucial commercial support and expertise. Whether you're an experienced QS or an AQS with the right aptitude, we offer a platform for significant career growth.

You will be responsible for a range of quantity surveying duties, potentially across multiple projects, working closely with key clients and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing (responsibilities will scale with experience):
  1. Assisting with or taking the lead on cost estimating, cost planning, and commercial reporting.
  2. Supporting the administration of or managing NEC contracts.
  3. Involvement in procurement processes, including tender document preparation and evaluation.
  4. Assisting with or managing valuations, change control, and final accounts.
  5. Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  6. Contributing to the commercial success of projects across the water, utilities, and power sectors.
