Job summary

JN TECHNICAL LTD in Leeds seeks a Quantity Surveyor specialising in structural steelwork to own commercial aspects of projects from award to final account. You will develop budgets, manage cashflow and provide contract and commercial support to project teams.

Ideally you have at least 3 years of QS experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. This is a permanent role with UK-based project exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' QS experience.
• Structural steelwork experience is essential.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial ownership of projects after contract award.
• Produce commercial budgets and strategies.
• Support procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
• Prepare, submit and agree monthly applications for payment.
• Lead change control and price all variations.
• Negotiate variation values with clients.
• Monitor and control internal and external project costs.
• Provide commercial and contractual support to project teams.
• Ensure all contractual notices and procedures are issued correctly.
• Prepare final accounts and monthly commercial reports.
• Mentor junior commercial staff.
