The Highfield Company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its Midlands-based team in a subcontracting role specialising in structural steel projects. The role focuses on commercially managing projects and maintaining strong client and contractor relationships.

You will need to understand subcontract agreements, applications, variations and contractual negotiations to protect the company’s commercial interests. Flexibility and ownership of projects are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a subcontracting environment within steel construction.
• Understanding of subcontract/ main contract terms and variations.
• Ability to review, price and negotiate subcontract agreements.

Responsabilités

• Manage commercial aspects of projects from award to final account.
• Review subcontract and main contract terms and negotiate changes.
• Handle applications for payment, valuations, variations and change control.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
• Identify and price variations and additional works.
• Manage contractual notices and commercial risks.
