Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team in South Lanarkshire. The role focuses on managing project costs from contract award through final account, with involvement from tender stages to final delivery.

With 2+ years of QS experience, you will handle valuations, subcontract packages and contract documentation while liaising with clients and internal teams to meet budgets and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role (min 2 years).
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs from contract award through to final account.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
• Assist the estimating department during tender stages.
• Review contracts and prepare associated contract documentation.
• Administer and manage subcontract packages and orders.
• Monitor project financial performance and provide accurate reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project lifecycles.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal departments to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Support project delivery teams with contractual and commercial advice.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with budgets and contractual requirements.
