Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd are representing a leading structural steel contractor in Lanark, Scotland, recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will manage project costs from award to final account and prepare interim valuations and final accounts.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 2 years' experience, with strong contract knowledge and proficient Office skills. A supportive team and clear progression path are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costs from contract award through to final account.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
• Assist the estimating department during tender stages as required.
• Review contracts and prepare associated contract documentation.
• Administer and manage subcontract packages and orders.
• Monitor project financial performance and provide accurate reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project lifecycles.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal departments to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Support project delivery teams with contractual and commercial advice.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with budgets and contractual requirements.
