Overview

The client is a successful regional contractor based in Southampton, seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in Groundworks and Civil Engineering to join their team. The role involves managing projects related to groundwork, foundations, and residential developments across Hampshire, Sussex, Wiltshire, and Dorset.

Responsibilities:

• Groundworks experience.
• Tender pricing and take-off.
• Commercial management of projects.
• Monthly valuation preparation.
• Cost control of projects.
• Procurement & placement of bespoke material costs.
• Relationship building with subcontractors, design team, and suppliers.
• Extensive knowledge of groundworks, ideally with residential experience.
• A background with groundworks subcontractors would be highly desired.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is desirable.

Salary: Up to £60,000 plus car/allowance and benefits.

Role is permanent, with a start date around April 2025.
