Building Careers UK is assisting in recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a regional main contractor based in Warrington, Cheshire. The role focuses on the commercial management of projects valued between £5m and £10m, with emphasis on procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.

You will monitor budgets and cash flow, prepare cost reports, and work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure financial performance and successful close-out. A QS degree is preferred.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Experience with main/regional contractors and commercial focus.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Experience managing project costs and producing financial reports.
• Understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Excellent numerical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with operational teams and manage commercial matters independently.
• A degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Manage commercial aspects of projects valued between £5m and £10m.

• Oversee subcontractor procurement, tenders and appointments.
• Prepare interim valuations and payment applications.
• Assess subcontractor applications, valuations and notices.

• Negotiate final accounts with subcontractors and clients.
• Identify commercial risks to protect margins and support close-out.
