Role description:
Arcadis is excited to be expanding its Nuclear team, specifically focusing on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in the Warrington area.We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support the successful delivery of the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Project. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the Commercial Director (SMR Project) as part of the wider project team. Your responsibilities will include assisting with contract management and supporting the commercial management of supply chain contracts, as well as participating in procurement activities for the project.
You will be expected to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring adherence to commercial and business governance frameworks, processes, and procedures. Key responsibilities include contributing to performance management, assisting with risk mitigation, supporting issue resolution, and participating in financial oversight, change control, and compliance efforts. You will also be encouraged to focus on continuous improvement in all areas of your work.
In Quantity Surveying, you’ll help manage and deliver our projects on time, in budget and to the expected standards of quality. You’ll liaise with external contractors and consultants, report to clients and stakeholders, and deploy resources effectively.
You will be part of establishing a major programme, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a First of a Kind (FOAK) UK SMR Project. While this is a fast-paced and exciting challenge, you should be comfortable with uncertainty, ambiguity and change.
Role accountabilities:
Please note there would be travel requirements x3 per week to Warrington
