Balfour Beatty plc in the North West is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial performance of projects, manage budgets and subcontract packages, and protect margins.

You will lead financial reporting, forecasting, and contract compliance while building strong relationships with clients and suppliers across a diverse building portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry, with experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial procedures and cost management.
• Experience managing subcontract packages, procurement, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent financial analysis, reporting and forecasting skills.
• The ability to identify commercial risks and opportunities and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to support and develop colleagues.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Regional Build team in the North West, where you'll play a key role in the commercial success of our projects and help deliver outstanding results for our clients.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take responsibility for managing the commercial performance of your projects, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed and opportunities are maximised throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing
