Job summary
Vital Energi in Scotland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team across the Scotland Region. You will support financial management of contracts, in partnership with Contracts Managers and Project Managers, and help drive commercial efficiency on multiple live projects.
The successful candidate will have a background in construction, NEC contract knowledge, and MRICS or similar professional recognition, with a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Educated to BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent commercially related discipline.
- Member of Profession Institution (e.g. MRICS or similar).
- Knowledge and working experience of NEC Contracts and driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Support financial management of contracts in partnership with Contracts/Project Managers.
- Vet and administer contract documentation to ensure alignment with Tender terms.
- Produce and monitor Commercial Risk Registers and mitigations.
- Issue enquiries for Major Plant & Equipment and Sub-Contract packages; negotiate terms.
- Prepare Applications for Payment, invoices, payment certificates and progress payments.
- Measure, certify and agree variations and final accounts; issue notices as required.
- Monitor on-site records, issue notices, and participate in contract reviews.
