Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Slough, England to join our team. You will work with commercial and construction teams to support project delivery, maximise commercial returns and effectively manage risk.

You will handle tenders, subcontract negotiations, CVRs, forecasts, cost reporting, and cash flow management to ensure timely final accounts and robust commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry, managing costs, valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing and selecting subcontractors, negotiating and finalising subcontract orders.
• Managing financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors to final account completion.
• Maintaining site records and document control.
• Recording site measurements.
• Assisting with forecasts, targets and contract value reconciliations.
• Preparing valuations and variations with sufficient records and details, agreeing changes as works progress.
• Updating projected final account and submitting in a timely manner.
• Liaise with site management to influence and challenge commercial matters.
