Job summary

VSL International is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the Lower Thames Crossing project in the UK. You will embed within the commercial team, supporting cost control, valuations, and subcontract management to deliver robust financial performance across LTC packages.

Collaborate with project controls, engineers and construction teams, manage changes, early warning of commercial risks, and ensure compliance with NEC contracts and Bouygues/VSL procedures.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• RICS membership or working towards equivalence.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure/civil projects.
• Knowledge of subcontract procurement, package management and commercial delivery.
• Experience with NEC contracts and managing valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts.
• Experience collaborating with site delivery, engineering and project controls teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial management and cost control for LTC work packages.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts and cost reports for financial control.
• Administer valuations, applications for payment and commercial assessments.
• Support procurement, tender analysis and subcontract documentation.
• Manage changes, claims and final accounts with robust records.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to meet objectives.
