Job summary

Pinnacle, partnered with a leading Tier 1 Contractor, is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join the Rail division in Leeds. This is a fantastic chance to work on high-profile Civils and Depot projects and to progress within a busy, secure project portfolio.

You will manage all commercial and contractual aspects, drive cost control and forecasting, and collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to maximise project value and delivery success.

Qualifications

• Experience within Rail sector, ideally Civils or Depot projects.
• Strong Civils background and a move into Rail is welcome.
• Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills.
• Driven, organised and keen to progress in a leading contractor environment.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the commercial management of major construction projects, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing all commercial and contractual aspects of projects
• Cost control, forecasting, and value management
• Monitoring project progress and preparing commercial reports
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and consultants
• Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and quality standards

About You

We’re looking to speak with Quantity Surveyors who:

• Have experience within the Rail sector, ideally on Civils or Depot projects
• They will consider somone coming from a strong Civils background and are looking to move into Rail
• Possess strong commercial awareness and communication skills
• Are driven, organised, and keen to progress within a leading contractor environment
