Job summary

McGoff Construction is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a housing project in Witham. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will handle client valuations, cost monitoring, and subcontractor administration to support on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a surveying degree, experience with main contractors and JCT contracts, and strong Excel/Outlook skills. You will produce cost/value reconciliations, manage variations, and contribute to monthly

Qualifications

• Degree in surveying or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience with a Main Contractor and JCT contracts.
• Proven ability to commercially manage large-scale housing projects.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Includes 1 day paid volunteering day.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client valuations, measurements, and final accounts.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor programme.
• Value variations and manage subcontracts and notices.
• Produce cost/value reconciliations and report to senior management.
• Ensure timely procurement and subcontract final accounts.
• Attend meetings and provide cost advice.
