Job summary

Octavius Infrastructure Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team on the M25 Connect Plus framework. The role blends site, office (Hatfield or Dartford), and home working to deliver commercial excellence.

You'll manage costs, forecasts, procurement, NEC changes, and CVR reporting while building strong relationships with project teams and clients to ensure financial and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management.
• Ability to forecast costs and produce monthly CVR reports.

At Octavius, we're continuing to grow our Highways business, delivering critical infrastructure works across the M25 as part of the Connect Plus Framework and are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join ourteam.

This role is based around the M25 corridor, with a mix of site, office (Hatfield or Dartford), and home working.

Why this role matters…You'll play a key role in the commercial management of projects across the M25 network, helping ensure they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and financial expectations.

You’ll be responsible for:

You’ll work with…A collaborative and experienced Highways team working closely with Connect Plus, alongside our wider supply chain. You’ll build strong relationships with project teams, clients, and commercial colleagues to support successful delivery across the framework.

About you…You’re looking to build your experience within a supportive but ambitious team, and you enjoy working on complex infrastructure projects where no two days are the same.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering or infrastructure
• Strong commercial awareness, with confidence managing costs and reporting on project performance
• A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams
• A good understanding of NEC contracts (essential)
• Experience in highways or infrastructure environments (preferred)
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Progress towards, or interest in, professional membership such as RICS or CICES
