Job summary

Matchtech represents a leading highway maintenance contractor seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on major highway schemes. You will handle monthly payments, CVR work, and sub-contractor packages and support tender activities.

We require a QS degree with infrastructure experience and strong numerical, Excel, and stakeholder communication skills. NEC target costs and cost-control experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
Experience in infrastructure or civil engineering projects preferred.
Knowledge of Target Cost Contracts (NEC3/NEC4).
Experience preparing and managing payment applications and CVR/commercial administration.

Responsibilities

Prepare, submit, and secure approval for monthly payment applications.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Develop and manage target cost contracts, including forecasting and risk mitigation.
Monitor and control project costs against budgets and forecasts.
Compile and analyse cost reports and commercial performance reviews.
Prepare and review subcontractor packages, valuations, and final accounts.
Support change-management processes, including assessment, pricing, and negotiation of variations.
Contribute to tender documentation and procurement strategy development.
Coordinate with project teams for accurate cost capture and timely reporting.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Strong numerical and analytical abilities and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CEMAR/Causeway-CPA is advantageous.
