Job summary

Wates Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction Team in the West, working on high profile, technically complex projects around Liverpool/Merseyside. The role involves developing pre and post contract strategies, managing commercial functions and reporting, with ownership of own work packages and collaboration with customers and specialists.

You will contribute to tender strategies, maximise cashflow from subcontract packages, and support procurement activities including

Qualifications

Own subcontract packages and understand the implementation of tender strategies
Take ownership for the development and implementation of pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting
Add value, ensure compliance, commercial viability and best practice across projects

Responsibilities

Contribute to the project commercial strategies and take ownership for your own subcontract packages
Maximise project cashflow by effective management of subcontract packages
Contribute to procurement strategies with focus on tender enquiries, package reconciliations and subcontract orders
