Job summary

Ross & Ross in Hungerford seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join our cost consultancy team across residential, heritage and hospitality projects. This role focuses on delivering accurate cost planning, value engineering and robust commercial decisions with a close eye on time and budget.

You will work with project managers to manage risk, prepare elemental cost plans, review valuations and contracts, and ensure client expectations are met with clear communication and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience or relevant PM qualification.
• CIOB or RICS qualified, or working towards a professional qualification.
• Experience in construction or residential development projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk, value management and cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed elemental cost plans for projects.
• Put together tender documents for market.
• Analyse tender returns and advise on spend decisions.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering.
• Own contract particulars, requirements, claims and disputes.
• Review monthly valuations and applications for payment.
• Negotiate interim payment certificates.
• Contract Administration responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver on time and on budget.
• Ensure clients feel listened to, supported and confident.
