The role involves commercial oversight of multiple groundworks packages, ensuring accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts, while monitoring budgets and profitability.

You will manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and commercial agreements, working with Contracts Managers and site teams to deliver projects and maintain client relationships

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering.
• Background in residential groundworks with major housebuilders or housing developers.
• Strong understanding of valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• Experience commercially managing multiple projects.
• Good communication, negotiation and commercial management skills.

Residential Groundworks & Civil Engineering

An established groundworks contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, working on residential groundworks and civil engineering projects across the Midlands.

The company delivers groundworks packages for established housing developers, with projects covering foundations, drainage, roads, infrastructure and associated external works.

This is an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in residential groundworks to take commercial responsibility for multiple projects within a busy, established business.

The Role

• Commercial management of 4 - 5 residential groundworks projects.
• Preparation and management of valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project budgets, costs and profitability.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial agreements.

About You
