Job summary

Catering in Chesterfield is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading facilities management contractor delivering FM maintenance services.

You will manage budgets, contracts, subcontractors, and cash flow, with NEC experience preferred, and undertake site visits to ensure project requirements are met.

Qualifications

• 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
• 3+ years’ experience at Quantity Surveyor level
• Excellent understanding of Contract Law; NEC experience preferred
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Collate monthly cost data to support CVRs and budgeting
• Manage budget control and forecasting for allocated projects
• Ensure contract administration aligns with contract requirements
• Oversee cash management and cash flow production
• Prepare forecasting documentation
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including measurements, variations, liability trackers, payment notices and final accounts
• Attend progress meetings and contribute to weekly commercial meetings
• Conduct site visits and support client meetings with the Commercial Manager
• Mentor junior staff and ensure work follows internal processes and governance

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Collate monthly cost data to support the Commercial Manager with the production of CVRs.
• Manage budget control and forecasting for allocated projects, providing monthly updates.
• Ensure correct contract administration of allocated projects in line with contract requirements.
• Oversee cash management and cash flow production.
• Prepare forecasting documentation.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including measurement of works, variations, liability trackers, payment notices, and final accounts.
• Attend progress meetings and contribute to weekly commercial meetings.
• Conduct site visits and support client meetings alongside the Commercial Manager.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure work is carried out in line with internal processes and governance.

Requirements

• Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
• 3+ years’ experience working at Quantity Surveyor level.
• Excellent understanding of Contract Law, with NEC suite experience preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial awareness.
• Willingness to undertake site visits.
• Full UK driving licence.

Salary: £50000 – £60000/annum + Excellent company benefits
