MacStaff Limited based in Exeter, an independent construction consultancy, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on high-end residential projects across the South West.

You will join a friendly team, taking on responsibilities from feasibility to final account, with exposure to private clients and luxury developments. MRICS aspirations welcomed; salary £35,000-£50,000 DOE + benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• A few years' QS experience, ideally in a consultancy or client-side environment.
• Good knowledge of cost planning, procurement, tendering and contract administration.
• Experience with residential, bespoke construction or high-quality building projects advantageous.
• Familiarity with JCT contracts and construction cost management.
• Strong communication, commercial awareness and client-facing skills.
• A proactive, organised approach and enthusiasm for delivering quality projects.
• MRICS qualification aspirational, but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Preparing feasibility estimates, budgets and detailed cost plans.
• Producing tender documentation and managing procurement processes.
• Evaluating contractor submissions and advising on appointments.
• Administering building contracts, variations and change control.
• Monitoring project expenditure, preparing valuations and cost reports.
• Managing final accounts and supporting successful project completion.
• Working closely with private clients, architects, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Helping deliver exceptional projects to agreed cost, programme and quality expectations.

Quantity Surveying for a highly regarded, independent construction consultancy specialising in exceptional, high-end residential projects across Devon, Cornwall and the South West.
