Job summary

RG Setsquare in Cardiff is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Surveyor to support delivery across education, healthcare, retail and commercial environments. You will collaborate with operational and commercial teams to drive successful outcomes on traditional construction and Facilities Management contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Estimating.
• Strong costing, valuations, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Experience in construction, refurbishment, maintenance or facilities management environments.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and provide quantity and cost analysis.
• Support the valuation, forecasting and commercial management of projects.
• Assist with estimating and WIP reporting on SOR-based Facilities Management contracts.
• Prepare labour loading and pricing schedules for tender submissions.
• Monitor budgets, costs, variations and project performance.
• Support the preparation of reports, risk assessments, forecasts and commercial documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes and cost implications.
• Work closely with site teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist in the commercial delivery of projects valued up to 3m.
• Attend site visits as required to review project progress and support delivery teams.
