Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Project Growth

Job summary

PE Global Recruitment partners with a leading European data centre delivery specialist to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a major Blyth project. You will join a busy commercial team supporting the delivery of a large-scale construction development.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years’ construction experience, a degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject, and a good grasp of cost control, valuations and subcontract management.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related subject.
• 2-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management of subcontractor packages from procurement through to completion.
• Support tendering, package development and procurement activities.
• Review subcontractor pricing and input into commercial evaluations.
• Help manage subcontract documentation and maintain records throughout the project.
• Assist with monthly payments, valuations and variations.
• Track expenditure against budgets and assist with cost forecasting.
• Contribute to commercial reporting and project close-out activities.
