Job summary

Mace is seeking a highly experienced commercial professional to lead contract strategy on major infrastructure projects in the UK. You will bring MRICS qualification, a degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, and a track record of managing complex pre‑award activities across NEC4 contracts.

You will operate in a matrix environment with senior stakeholders, driving high performance and ensuring compliant, high‑quality commercial outcomes with a flexible, hybrid working

Qualifications

• Degree level in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
• MRICS qualification (or working towards)
• Evidence of ongoing management development and personal development
• Experience in similar role at major infrastructure projects
• Experience working across complex matrix teams
• Success at creating an aligned culture focused on high performance
• Adept in use of standard forms of contract and implementing commercial strategies
• NEC4 expertise with practical drafting, negotiation, and execution of NEC4 contracts (ECC/PSC incl. short forms)
• Significant pre-award cycle experience including tender strategy, documentation, bidder engagement, evaluation and negotiation

• NEC4 expertise: Extensive practical experience in drafting, negotiating, and executing contracts under the NEC4 suite (ECC and PSC incl. short forms)
• Pre-Contract focus: Significant experience in the full pre-award cycle, including tender strategy, documentation, bidder engagement, evaluation, and negotiation.
