Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for geotechnical/construction projects in Swansea. The role covers estimating, cost control and commercial activities from tender through final accounts, with ownership of project budgets and contract economics.

You will develop accurate costs from drawings, specs, labour, materials and plant, and work closely with Project Managers, Contract Managers and site teams across South Wales and Southern England.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Quantity Surveying and experienced in construction or geotechnical environments.
• Experience in estimating, cost control and final accounts.
• Full UK driving license

Responsibilities

Quantity Surveyor (Construction / Geotechnical)

Swansea

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Commercial professional with a background in construction, civils or geotechnical projects, looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of projects from tender stage through to final account?

The company on offer is an established specialist provider of geotechnical, geoenvironmental, site and land-based services, with over 30 years of experience supporting clients across the construction, infrastructure, highways, utilities and energy sectors.

You will provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle, from preparing tenders and developing cost estimates through to valuations, cost control and final accounts.

Working closely with Project Managers, Contract Managers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors, you will help ensure projects are commercially controlled and delivered effectively.

The suitable candidate will hold a qualification in Quantity Surveying and have experience in a similar role within construction or geotechnical environments.

The Role

• Work Closely with Project Managers, Contract Managers and site teams throughout Project Delivery
• Travelling across South Wales and Southern England

The Person

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within commercial construction environments
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Full UK driving license
