Job summary

The MD Group in Bristol is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial responsibility for contract cost management within the social housing sector. You will oversee measurement, invoicing, WIP, and procurement, collaborating with the Operations Manager and clients to optimise margins and ensure timely financial reporting.

Experience in NHF measurement and sub-contractor claims is preferred, and a driving licence is required.

Qualifications

Proven main contractor experience on social housing maintenance contracts.
Knowledge of measurement and valuation including Schedule of Rates.
Commercial skills to maximise value recovery and control cost.
Excellent IT skills with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out measurement, invoicing and progress reporting from WIP to cash.
Ensure all job costs are charged correctly including timesheets and subcontractor costs.
Administer Sub-contracts and payments in line with policy.
Support cost modelling, invoicing, and procurement on contracts.
Produce monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor targets.
Represent the company professionally and liaise with clients and teams.
