Recruiting permanent candidates into Civil Engineering Contractors

This is an excellent opportunity for a growing Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-moving, collaborative team. The suitable candidate will handle the commercial aspects of diverse projects, ranging from £100,000 to £7-8 million. Projects include AD plants, heavy civil works, Section 278 agreements, warehouses, factory extensions, and transport yards. The role involves managing 1-2 projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administering and understanding NEC (predominantly) and JCT contracts.
• Preparing valuations for various project types.
• Accurately pricing labor, plant, and materials.
• Identifying, valuing, and managing variations.
• Performing accurate take-offs.
• Providing support to the wider commercial team.

What You'll Need:

• Proven experience in a civils environment.
• Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
