BREL Group is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the Facade Construction team in London. You will assist with cost estimation, tender preparation, site measurements, and cost control to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and contractors, developing accurate records, reports, and pricing information while building your knowledge of facade construction methods and materials.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for our Facade Construction team, you will play a vital role in supporting the quantity surveying and cost management functions of facade projects. Tender Documentation : Support the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities, to facilitate the bidding process.
Site Measurements : Conduct on-site measurements to verify quantities and assess work progress, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
Cost Control : Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control project costs, highlighting any variances and contributing to budget management.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of quantity surveying activities, prepare reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Supplier and Contractor Coordination : Interface with suppliers and contractors to obtain accurate pricing information and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Risk Assessment : Contribute to risk assessments related to quantity surveying, identifying potential challenges and proposing mitigation strategies.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of construction methods and materials, especially in facade construction.
Ability to work well within a dynamic team and meet deadlines.
