Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for refurbishment and maintenance works in the social housing sector. You will manage commercial aspects across multiple projects from procurement to final account, working closely with clients and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Applicants should have QS experience in planned works or social housing, strong CVR and reporting skills, and knowledge of JCT contracts.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying experience in planned works, refurbishment or social housing.
• Strong CVR and commercial reporting experience.
• Knowledge of JCT contracts and Schedule of Rates (NHF or bespoke).
• Good Excel skills; COINS experience advantageous.

Quantity Surveyor

Herefordshire Up to £55,000 Company Car / Car Allowance Benefits

Build Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor delivering planned refurbishment and maintenance works across the social housing sector.

You'll be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with clients and subcontractors to ensure schemes are delivered successfully.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing CVRs, forecasts and cost reporting

• Procuring and managing subcontractors

• Managing variations and final accounts

• Attending client meetings

• Identifying and managing commercial risk

• Supporting the delivery of long-term framework contracts

Projects include:

• Kitchens & Bathrooms

• Roofing

• Windows & Doors

• Boiler and Electrical upgrades

• Void refurbishments and planned maintenance

We're looking for:

• Quantity Surveying experience within planned works, refurbishment or social housing - candidates from alternative sectors will not be considered

• Strong CVR and commercial reporting experience

• Knowledge of JCT contracts and Schedule of Rates (NHF or bespoke)

• Good Excel skills (COINS experience is advantageous)
