Job summary

Invision Group in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support social housing refurbishment programmes across Liverpool. The role focuses on managing commercial performance, budgets, valuations and final accounts within Decent Homes projects.

You will oversee subcontractor procurement, monitor costs and cash flow, and liaise with clients and housing associations to ensure proper valuation and payment processes are followed, with long-term opportunities within an established

  • Strong knowledge of Decent Homes programmes.
  • Experience managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills.

Quantity Surveyor - Liverpool

Location: Liverpool

Sector: Social Housing / Refurbishment

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Package

A well-established refurbishment contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting social housing refurbishment programmes across Liverpool.

The Role
  • Manage the commercial performance of social housing refurbishment projects.
  • Take responsibility for budgets, valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments.
  • Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
  • Manage variations and ensure all changes are properly valued and agreed.
  • Produce regular commercial reports and cost/value reconciliations.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain commercially controlled.
  • Liaise with clients and housing associations regarding commercial matters.
  • Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure contractual and commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within social housing, refurbishment or planned maintenance.
  • Strong experience working on Decent Homes programmes.
  • Experience across both void and tenanted properties.
  • Knowledge of kitchen, bathroom and external refurbishment works.
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor management and procurement.
  • Experience managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
  • Good commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills.
  • A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience.
