Job summary

Premises Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for façades, external envelope and roofing on a site-based role. You will participate in applications for payments, cost reporting, and forecasting within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities include tracking monthly figures, reviewing labour schedules against site progress, and pricing variations in line with subcontract parameters. A solid understanding of NEC3 contracts is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Applications for Payments and variations.
• Strong cost reporting, reconciliations and forecasting.
• Ability to track monthly figures and flag budget constraints.
• Review labour schedules and progress on site against plan.
• Pricing variations in line with subcontract parameters.
• Review drawings vs tender drawings for changes.
• Solid understanding of NEC3 and other sub-contracts.

The Company

• My client are a specialist subcontractor, focusing on the external envelope.
• Established for 20+ years, the company delivers design, supply and installation services
• HQ based in Herts/Essex border

The Role - Quantity Surveyor

Working within a friendly close-knit team, you wil be:

• Working with surveying team, organising and creating Applications for Payments, variations.
• Cost reporting and regular reporting of accurate reconciliations and forecasting
• Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budgets/financial constraints
• Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to progress on site
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontract parameters
• Reviewing drawings and comparing construction drawings to tender drawings, keeping note of any changes
• An in-depth general understanding of various construction sub-contracts (e.g. JCT Design and Build, NEC3 etc.) - mainly NEC.
