Job summary

S Guest Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Façades for a Staffordshire-based role with hybrid working (office and site visits). You will manage commercial aspects for your own projects, ensuring value and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate will have solid commercial management experience, knowledge of façade contracts, and the ability to handle variations and final accounts, while maintaining strong client relationships. Salary up to £50,000 DOE plus a package.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial management experience.
• Façade sector or main contractor background preferred.
• Knowledge of JCT Design & Build and/or NEC contracts.
• Experience with variations, final accounts and claims.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication; team player and able to work independently.
• BSc/HND in QS or Commercial Management (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage applications and chase payment to ensure prompt payments.
• Build up and agree variation accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Understand contractual obligations and advise site teams on responsibilities and liabilities.
• Agree final accounts and claims with clients and the supply chain.
• Prepare monthly cost-to-complete (CTC) reports and accurate cash flow forecasts.
• Engage subcontractors and suppliers on contract terms and conditions.
• Issue payment notices to subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Location: Staffordshire (hybrid, with office and site visits)

Type: Permanent, full-time

Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE + package

The company

Our client is a specialist façade contractor delivering new build, refurbishment and remediation projects from concept to completion. Pre-construction, design and engineering, procurement, manufacture, installation and performance testing are all handled in-house. They work on high-profile buildings across the UK.

The role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll take commercial responsibility for your own projects, protecting the company's commercial interests and making sure contractual obligations are understood and met by the whole team.

What you'll be doing

• Making sure work done is paid promptly by managing applications and chasing payment
• Building up and agreeing variation accounts, both with clients and with subcontractors
• Understanding the company's obligations, responsibilities and liabilities under contracts and subcontracts, and advising site teams
• Agreeing final accounts and claims with clients and the supply chain
• Preparing monthly cost-to-complete (CTC) reports and accurate cash flow forecasts
• Engaging subcontractors and suppliers on the correct contract terms and conditions
• Issuing payment notices to subcontractors
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
