Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management for building and civil engineering projects in the UK. You will handle tender costing, risk management, procurement strategy, and contractor payments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and quantity surveying software.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.

  • Prepare and analyse costing for tenders and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.

As Quantity Surveyor at Hitachi Energy you are part of a team of catalysts for a sustainable future. The demand for energy sector infrastructure is rapidly increasing, we are looking to add a member to our team that is fully focussed on managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final accounts.

How you'll make an impact

Your background
