Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects that support innovative energy solutions and accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. The role is office-based in Stone/Stafford (3 days onsite per week) with responsibility for planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management.

You will drive project plans, manage risks, coordinate teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Proven track record with 5+ years in project management.
• Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure high performance and alignment with goals.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues; create contingency plans and escalate when needed.
• Establish and maintain communication with stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
• Monitor progress with KPIs and provide regular status reports to management.
• Ensure delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality; meet client expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes and tools.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure deliverables meet specifications.

Location

How you'll make an impact:

• Work with project teams to ensure high performance and adherence to project goals.

• Establish and maintain strong communication channels with all project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the organization.

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera 6) and collaboration tools.
• Experience in a global or multinational corporate environment is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control.
