Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team in managing commercial aspects across regional building projects. You will help maximise profitability and support invoicing and payments to suppliers.

You will appoint contractors and stay on top of measurement and value work, building strong relationships with clients and the wider supply chain. Strong communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role.
• Strong organisational skills and proficiency with IT packages including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin on assigned projects
• Appointing contractors and subcontractors, and placing orders for materials and plant
• Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain
• Identifying contractual and commercial risks and proposing ways to mitigate them

What will you be responsible for?

You have clear communication skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chains
