Job summary

Psr-Solutions is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Sheffield to join a busy civil engineering contractor.

You will manage commercial aspects from procurement to final account on civils projects, with a focus on cost control, forecasting and risk management. The role offers a clear career path and a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have civil engineering/infrastructure experience, strong commercial knowledge and proven negotiation and communication skills.

• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams.

Salary: GBP55000 - GBP60000 per annum

I’m currently working with a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join an established business with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for the commercial management of civils projects from procurement through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and cost/value reports
• Subcontract procurement and management
• Managing valuations, payments and variations
• Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts
• Managing contractual and commercial matters
• Working closely with the operational and commercial teams
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers

About You

My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:
