Job summary

MBS Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a flagship civil engineering project in Sheffield, with a £60m package. The role focuses on measurement, cost control, subcontract management and NEC3 Option A compliance to drive commercial success.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4–7 years of civil engineering Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience with measurement, change control, subcontract management, and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform measurement and change control activities across projects.

• Prepare and maintain cost reporting and financial forecasts in coordination with operational teams and senior management.
• Collaborate with operational teams to support project delivery and commercial decisions.

Overview

Quantity Surveyor – Sheffield – Civil Engineering – £50k–£65k + Package

Join a flagship project from the early stages of delivery on a major £60m civil engineering package, including substructure and superstructure works, reinforced concrete hard standing areas, high‑spec ground floor slabs, externals, drainage, utilities, roads and landscaping. The majority of the work is delivered in‑house, offering exposure across project delivery rather than sole subcontract management.

The role supports a self‑delivering team on a NEC3 Option A contract and provides long‑term progression opportunities as the business continues to grow with a strong pipeline of upcoming work.
