Falcon Green is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activity on two major construction projects from procurement through final account. You will take ownership of subcontract packages, manage cost reporting and ensure live commercial control on site.

You will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, strong site-based experience in main contracting and a proven track record delivering packages within budget and contractual requirements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier One Main Contractor, overseeing commercial activities across two major construction projects valued at £35m and £60m.

We are looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in main contracting, who is comfortable working on site and taking ownership of subcontract packages from procurement through to final account.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing packages independently, working closely with site teams and maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent recognised surveying degree.
• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor, ideally within a Tier One environment.
• Demonstrable experience managing subcontract packages independently.
• Strong site-based experience, with a practical understanding of construction operations and programme delivery.
• Experience managing packages from procurement through to final account.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and contractual knowledge.
• The ability to work collaboratively with operational teams while maintaining robust commercial control.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a proactive and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being involved in the detail of project delivery. You will be confident managing subcontractors, resolving commercial issues and working directly with site teams to ensure packages are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements.

Experience working on large-scale construction projects and managing multiple packages simultaneously will be highly advantageous.
