Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Portsmouth. The business has a steady pipeline of projects across Hampshire and Dorset including across the care home, commercial, residential and leisure sectors valuing typically up to £30mil. As a result of increased opportunity, they're looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for either managing certain packages on a live project, or managing your own smaller scheme. You will be reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor:

• Manage sub-contract procurement
• Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
• Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
• Deal with final accounts

Key Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor position:

• Have a HNC / construction related degree
• Have administered JCT / NEC forms of contract
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
• Must live within commutable distance to Portsmouth.
