Job summary

Morson Edge in Manchester is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in East Manchester. You will take full responsibility for the commercial management of projects, ensuring cost control and contractual compliance through all stages.

The role involves liaising with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture and control costs, managing budgets, and preparing payment applications and forecasts. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have proven ability in quantity surveying and commercial management of projects/work packages.
• Experience in utilities, civil engineering or MEICA sectors is desirable.

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Water Sector – East Manchester – Competitive Salary – Hybrid Working

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 design and build contractor’s Commercial team based in East Manchester. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial management of projects, ensuring effective cost control and contractual compliance throughout all project stages. Your role will involve managing quantity surveying duties for projects and work packages

Duties Include:

• - Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyse, and control costs.
• - Collaborate closely with clients to meet business requirements and manage main contracts, including issuing subcontract documentation and overseeing subcontractor performance.
• - Preparation and agreement of payment applications, project cost/value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
