Job summary

Freedom is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work from our Leeds head office on a broad range of construction projects involving underground cabling, overhead lines and substations. The role covers commercial delivery from feasibility through to handover, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet requirements.

You will manage cost and value, prepare CVRs, cash flow forecasts, variations and final accounts, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services on NEC3 projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying.
• MRICS qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Measure and value works for applications.
• Prepare monthly CVRs and ensure robust cost management.
• Provide cash flow forecasts.
• Manage cost variations and final accounts with clients and suppliers.
• Identify early warnings and compensation events.
• Establish and chair monthly project reviews.
• Manage dispute and defects process with the client.
• Attend client progress meetings.
• Follow procedures for client work approval.
• Post audit of works commercially.
• Manage invoicing and debts.
• Effective communication with all levels of personnel.
• Supply chain management.
• Provide innovative ideas and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying.
• MRICS qualified (desirable).
