Qualifications

  • Experience with NEC and/or JCT contracts desired.

  • Manage the established commercial team on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Prepare and validate interim and final accounts.
  • Conduct risk management and cost management.

Job description

My high profile tier one construction and civil engineering client is looking for an experienced quantity surveyor to join their expanding team in Huddersfield.

This is the perfect opportunity for individuals to carve out a long-term career and leave a legacy within an established company.

Candidate Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Day to day management of the established Commercial team on multidisciplinary Projects
  • Contract/Commercial Management
  • Cost Management
  • Prepare, validate and agreement of interim and final accounts
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Complete savings report for internal records
  • Risk Management
  • Estimating
  • Contract Change Control
  • Attending / leading Commercial / Contract meetings
  • Comply with Quality Management Systems, processes and procedures

Candidate Requirements:

  • MRICS Accreditation
  • Degree Qualified
  • NEC and or JCT Contract experience
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Confident communicator
  • Proven experience working on large rail infrastructure projects
