Job summary

Damicor Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a St Pauls, London-based role. You will work on high-profile commercial office fit-out and retail projects, handling pre and post contract duties and leading client meetings.

The team includes 110 staff with opportunities to mentor a Graduate; MRICS qualification is desirable and progression is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Qualified quantity surveyor with experience in commercial office fit-outs or retail schemes.
• Experience with JCT contracts and pre/post contract duties is preferred.
• MRICS status or intention to pursue MRICS within 2 sittings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage client from inception through to completion.
• Handle pre and post contract duties on projects.
• Lead on client meetings and guide a Graduate through initial months.
• Work on CAT B fit outs and hospitality projects when required.

Job description

This opportunity is to join a medium sized construction consultancy (multi disciplinary), in their St Pauls office.

A client facing and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with the motivation to progress and drive their career forward, is now needed by an impressive Construction Consultancy.

They are open-minded to someone with 4-7 years of experience.

You the Quantity Surveyor, will immediately jump onto CAT B fit outs for world known clients, Prime retail fit out, and further support into Commercial and Hospitality projects.

The successful Quantity Surveyor, will need to bring a motivation and dedication to perform, as progression and pay rises come with time and performances.

A full spectrum of pre & post contract knowledge is desirable.

The Quantity Surveyor's Role

The new Quantity Surveyor will immediately work on a secured Commercial office fit out project worth £13M and a Retail scheme worth £7M.

You will work with JCT/D&B contracts, working with high end clients from a myriad of industries.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has achieved their MRICS recently, or is planning on sitting in the next 2 sittings.

The Quantity Surveyors duties will include managing the client from inception right through to completion, undertaking pre & post contract duties.

The team consists of 110 people in total, 15 Quantity Surveyors and you will have the opportunity to lead a Graduate through their early months.

The Quantity Surveyor

• Completed a BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying degree
• Preference with a PQS / Consultancy background
• Understanding of JCT contracts
• Quantity Surveying background with EA/PM knowledge/experience preferred
• Ideally involved in Commercial, Mixed-Use or Hospitality projects
• Wanting to lead on client meetings and take full project life cycle
• Pre and post contract knowledge
