Job summary

Foster & May is a modern quantity surveying consultancy in Kent seeking a team-focused Quantity Surveyor. You will gain broad exposure across pre and post contract duties, including Contract Administration and Project Management, on healthcare, education and local authority projects.

This role offers APC support and a path to leadership while avoiding London commutes. Ideal candidates have a Quantity Surveying degree, are working towards MRICS, and bring 3+ years of PQS/Cost Consultancy

Qualifications

• Completed a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• Working towards MRICS.
• Pre and post contract experience.
• Experience in a PQS/Cost Consultancy environment.
• Presentable and strong communication skills.
• 3+ years Quantity Surveying experience.

Responsibilities

• Gain broad exposure across pre and post contract duties, including Contract Administration and Project Management.
• Work on projects with high social value (healthcare, education, local authority).
• Take on greater responsibility, lead projects and engage with clients.

A modern, supportive and down-to-earth Quantity Surveying consultancy is looking to add a team-focused Quantity Surveyor to its rapidly expanding team in Kent.

The Quantity Surveyor's Role

The successful Quantity Surveyor will gain broad exposure across a range of pre and post contract duties, including elements of Contract Administration and Project Management. You'll work on a variety of projects with high social value, including healthcare, education and local authority schemes.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to take on greater responsibility, lead their own projects and work more closely with clients, all while avoiding the London commute and benefiting from hands‑on APC support.

The Quantity Surveyor

• Completed a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
• Working towards becoming MRICS
• Pre and post contract experience
• Worked within a PQS / Cost Consultancy environment
• Presentable and strong communication skills
• 3+ years Quantity Surveying experience
