Job summary

Foster & May Limited, a chartered Quantity Surveying consultancy, is seeking a professional Quantity Surveyor for their Essex office. You will work with an Associate and Director on projects up to £50m, from inception to completion, including estimating, procurement, site delivery and final accounts.

In return, the role offers £40,000 - £50,000, pension, APC support, professional membership fees, life insurance, private medical insurance, 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible working

Qualifications

• Completed a Quantity Surveying degree.
• Minimum of 3 years, Quantity Surveying experience.
• Worked within a PQS / Consultancy environment.
• Pre and post contract exposure.
• Client facing.
• Essex based - able to drive and commute with ease.

Responsibilities

• Assist on projects from inception to completion including estimating, procurement, site delivery and final accounts.
• Collaborate with Associate Quantity Surveyor and Director on commercial, private education and light infrastructure projects up to £50m.
• Occasionally perform Employers Agent duties as required.

Job description

A chartered Quantity Surveying consultancy, established across the East of England, is looking to add a professional Quantity Surveyor to their Essex office.

The Quantity Surveyor's role

The successful Quantity Surveyor shall work alongside an Associate Quantity Surveyor and Director on an array of projects including commercial, private education, and light infrastructure works - all valuing up to £50m.

Day to day, the new Quantity Surveyor will work on projects from inception to completion including estimating, procurement, site delivery, and concluding final accounts. There will also be elements of Employers Agent work.

The Quantity Surveyor

• Completed a Quantity Surveying degree
• Minimum of 3 years, Quantity Surveying experience
• Worked within a PQS / Consultancy environment
