Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for an office-based role in Billericay. You will support financial and contractual aspects of M&E projects across Commercial & Healthcare sites, including payments, cashflows and cost estimates.

The position is suitable for junior to intermediate QS professionals, with Monday–Friday work, 22 days holiday plus BH, and further package details discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and numerical/analytical skills.
• Understanding of construction/M&E contracts and procurement processes.
• Able to manage applications, valuations, variations, subcontract accounts, CVRs and final accounts.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desirable to hold relevant QS qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage payment applications, cashflows, and monthly P&L reports.
• Assist with cost estimates and commercial reporting on M&E projects.
• Support contract administration across Commercial & Healthcare sites.
• Maintain accurate records for valuations and final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor - Job Overview

A specialist Mechanical Contractor based in Essex, with over 60 years of industry experience, is looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Projects Division. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for supporting the management of contractual and financial aspects of M&E projects across Commercial & Healthcare sites, including preparing Payment Applications, Cashflows, Monthly P&L Reports, and Cost Estimates. This role will be suitable for junior to intermediate-level Quantity Surveyors, and it would be ideal if the candidate has worked on M&E Projects/Construction within the commercial industry.

Quantity Surveyor - Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary £30,000 - £40,000
