Job summary

Bond Recruit Ltd in Southampton is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial kitchen installation company. The role is permanent or freelance and based in Southampton.

The successful candidate will work closely with Estimating, Sales and Contracts teams, supporting projects from tender stage through to final account and managing commercial risks across multiple live projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, fit-out, M&E or related sector.
• Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts is essential.
• Experience with tenders, valuations, variations and final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor

Location: Southampton

Contract: Permanent or Freelance

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial kitchen installation company based in Southampton.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Estimating, Sales and Contracts teams, supporting projects from tender stage through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Estimating and Sales teams on new tenders.


• Prepare and manage tender packages.


• Coordinate with the Contracts Manager across live projects.


• Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment.


• Manage variations, project costs and commercial reporting.


• Attend client and project meetings.


• Assist with subcontractor accounts and final accounts.


• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks.

The Candidate

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction, fit-out, M&E or a related sector.


• Good working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.


• Experience with tenders, valuations, variations and final accounts.


• Strong commercial, negotiation and communication skills.


• Able to manage multiple projects and work closely with both clients and internal teams.
