Qualifications

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:
Role Requirements:
  • Create full tender analysis and prepare summary proposals of manufacturer comparisons of materials, sub‑contractor costs and other requirements of the job.
  • Know how to read people, tailoring your negotiation strategies to ensure you secure the best pricing for all components of your project.
  • Ensure all relevant and required paperwork is submitted in a timely manner to ensure the project runs to timescale.
  • Facilitate and prepare all documentation for internal and external progress meetings ensuring all stakeholders are informed of the projects progression and required next steps.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders which ensure opportunities are optimised during the lifecycle of your project.
  • Document any project changes and update budgets accordingly to ensure the projects commercial trajectory is achieved.
  • Accurately process the weekly Operative and Sub‑Contractor wages for your projects reviewing costs to identify where efficiencies could be made.
  • Scrutinise the commercial opportunities within your projects through assessing the following: Sub‑contractors Measurements Valuations. Ensuring all adrift cost are identified with next steps in place to address.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports within the requested timeline for your clients
  • Submit your projects final accounts to the Commercial Manager with commentary detailing changes and projected improvements.
  • Ensure all administration for your project is updated weekly and within the required timeframe.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years’ experience
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Construction background is preferrable
  • Ability to contribute and make astute commercial decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with client facing experience
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to gain the desired outcomes for the business
  • Effective problem‑solving ability
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a fast‑paced environment and prioritise workload effectively
