Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and specialist subcontractor based near Chelmsford, Essex. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary along with a supportive working environment and strong long-term prospects.

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering a range of brickwork and façade packages on major developments across London and the South East. You’ll be commercially responsible for your own projects, working closely with clients, site teams, and subcontractors from pre-start through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage valuations, variations, and cost reporting on live projects
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, orders, and payments
• Prepare and submit interim applications and final accounts
• Ensure contractual compliance across all commercial aspects
• Attend client meetings, providing cost updates and commercial insight
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure project success and profitability

About You:

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within brickwork, cladding, or specialist subcontracting ()
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding, ideally with JCT forms
• Excellent numerical and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software
• Full UK driving licence
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant experience in a similar role
