Job summary

Kier Group in London is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Solutions London team based in London. The role focuses on managing the commercial aspects of projects ranging from £5m to £15m, including refurbishments and high-rise re-cladding, with a flexible approach to hours and a standard 08:30 - 17:00 day.

You will work with customers, consultants and the supply chain, producing monthly forecasts, valuing work, and placing orders for materials and subcontractors, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar commercial role.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Solutions London team based in London.

Location: London
Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Building Solutions London team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects. Your day to day will include:

• Managing commercial resources to maximise project profitability and planned gross margins
• Tendering, evaluating and appointing subcontractors, and placing orders for materials and plant
• Measuring and valuing work to support customer invoicing and supplier payments
• Producing monthly VCRs and manage ELFs forecasts to track project performance and financial outcomes
• Building strong relationships with customers, consultants and the supply chain to ensure contractual obligations are met

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You have strong communication skills and experience working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and subcontractors
• You hold relevant qualifications such as a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveoring experience in a similar commercial role
• You're organised, able to prioritise effectively and work well to deadlines
• You're proficient with IT packages including Microsoft Office and industry-specific software
• You're collaborative, flexible and comfortable working both as part of a team and on your own initiative
